49th Annual RVIA Trade Show!!
Elixir Industries will be attending the 49th annual RVIA trade show in Louisville, KY November 29 – December 1, 2011. Please visit us at booth #’s 318 & 320! We will be unveiling a new product line that will provide an innovative solution to a common need!!! Be sure to come to our booth to see it first hand!!
Below is a brief introduction to RVIA as an organization for those of you that are unfamiliar with RVIA and their mission.
“The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) is the national trade association representing recreation vehicle (RV) manufacturers and their component parts suppliers who together build more than 98 percent of all RVs produced in the U.S. An RV is a vehicle designed as temporary living quarters for recreational, camping, travel or season use. RVs may be motorized (motorhomes) or towable (travel trailers, folding camping trailers and truck campers). Off-road vehicles are not included in the RV definition. Headquartered in the Washington, D.C. suburb of Reston, Virginia, RVIA is a unifying force for safety and professionalism within the RV industry and works with both federal and state government agencies to protect the interests of its members. A clearinghouse of industry facts and information, RVIA also provides free materials to consumers and other publics about RV travel and camping and actively works with the media nationwide to educate the public about the benefits of RVing. RVIA maintains as inspection program to monitor compliance of the plumbing, heating, fire and life safety, and the electrical systems of the RVs manufactured by its members in conformance to the ANSI/NFPA 1192 standard for RVs. RVIA also provides an on-going Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) education program for its members.”

Diversification Video
Elixir Industries continues to diversify to offer its business partners the most robust fabrication services available. In that quest, Elixir Industries is quickly expanding fabrication capabilities to meet the requirements of every major market sector.
Significant investment in state-of-the-art equipment continues to be a driving force and a foundation for Elixir Industries to remain relevant to customers in this century and beyond. Several Elixir divisions have been retooled with CNC laser cutting systems, water jet cutting systems, CNC metal forming equipment and CNC shears. Advanced supporting systems have been put in place to give us a competitive edge over our competition.
To commemorate our efforts, Elixir has released a video giving homage to its beginnings and highlighting some of these improvements.

Managers’ Meeting
Each year, Elixir Industries assembles a managers’ meeting. It’s that time of the year once again, May 9th – 13, 2011. Our focus is on how to better our services and operations to better service our customer base. We will also discuss new products and best practices to better meet the needs of the major markets Elixir serves. Other areas include customer service, capital asset investment and training. Company goals and directives are announced and discussed.
The knowledge obtained from the meeting will assist managers in their day-to-day operations when they return to their respective divisions.

Seeking CSA approval for entry doors
Elixir Industries is embarking on CSA approval for select entry doors as they expand their entry door solutions into Canada.
Division 34 reopens in Crossville, TN
In response to customer demand, Elixir Industries has reopened Division 34 in Crossville TN. Significant investment in equipment will allow the renovated facility to produce an assortment of vinyl windows for the factory built home, residential new construction and replacement markets. In addition to the Crossville, TN location, Elixir has reopened Division 28 in Mishawaka IN. A complete retooling is nearing completion and will allow the division to provide state-of-the-art aluminum extrusions and fabrication services to an already expanding customer base.
